The 7th National Student Mass Sports Olympiad will be hosted by Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman in the second half of July 2025

This was announced during a press conference held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, attended by officials from the Ministry of Science, Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Institute of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, and Shahid Bahonar University.

Dr. Mostafa Zarei, Director General of Physical Education at the Student Affairs Organization, stated that the Olympiad aims to promote sports among non-professional university students nationwide, enhancing their vitality, health, and social cohesion. The event will gather over 4,500 students from universities affiliated with the Ministry of Science, including Payame Noor University, Comprehensive Applied Science University, Farhangian University, and National Skill University.

The Olympiad will be held in two phases: from July 13 to 17 for female students and from July 19 to August 1 for male students.

Dr. Fariba Mohammadi, Head of the Institute of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, highlighted the institute’s role in policymaking, supervision, and evaluation of university sports programs, emphasizing collaboration with the Student Affairs Organization and the University Sports Federation to ensure high-quality events.

Alireza Kalantari, Director General of Mass Sports at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, underscored the importance of moving towards an active and vibrant society and noted that hosting the event in Kerman offers a valuable opportunity to showcase the province’s cultural, economic, and tourism capacities.

Officials from Shahid Bahonar University expressed pride in hosting the national event and commitment to leveraging all university resources and collaborating with various organizations to provide a worthy experience for the athletes. Preparations for infrastructure and venues are underway, with university leadership fully supporting the hosting effort.

During the conference, the official logo and flag of the 7th National Student Mass Sports Olympiad were unveiled. University sports association officials also shared expert views and suggestions to enhance the quality of the event.
