"From Idea to Patent in Sports Sciences" Webinar to Be Held

SSRII will hold an educational webinar titled "From Idea to Patent in Sports Sciences" on July 29, 2025, aiming to familiarize sports science enthusiasts with the processes and value of patent registration in a virtual format.

According to the Public Relations, this educational webinar is designed for university professors and faculty members, students and graduates of sports sciences and related fields, coaches, athletes, and other interested individuals. The session will take place virtually on July 29, 2025, from 09:00 to 13:00.

The webinar will be taught by Engineer Amin Hooshafza (Head of Community Relations at the Institute) and Dr. Amin Kavianifard (physician and sports inventor), covering the following key topics:

Ideation in sports sciences

The value and benefits of patent registration

The pathway from idea to patent

How to write a patent application

Administrative processes for patent registration

Patent registration in sports sciences holds special importance, and awareness in this area is essential for faculty members, students seeking doctoral admission, those applying for faculty positions, academic promotion, exclusive product production and sales, protection of individual ideas, and admission to reputable foreign universities.

All participants will receive an official certificate from the Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports, Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology. Notably, over the past 12 years, the Research Institute has been recognized as the competent scientific authority for evaluating sports-related patent applications by the Patent Office, having scientifically reviewed more than 1,000 sports patent applications to date.
