Memorandum of Cooperation Agreement between the Sports Sciences Research Institute and the Islamic World Science and Technology Citation and Monitoring Institute (ISC)

A joint cooperation memorandum was signed between the Sports Sciences Research Institute of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and the Islamic World Science and Technology Citation and Monitoring Institute (ISC) with the aim of developing scientific, research, and technological interactions.
According to the Public Relations of the Sports Sciences Research Institute, this memorandum was signed by Dr. Fariba Mohammadi, acting head of the Research Institute, and Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Alavianmehr, president of ISC, in the presence of Dr. Dehghani, president of Shiraz University of Technology; Dr. Ghanbari Baghestan, Deputy of Scholarships and Foreign Students at the Student Affairs Organization; Dr. Elhiyar Torkaman, Deputy of Higher Education and Research at the National Planning and Budget Organization; and other deputies of the Research Institute.
This collaboration comes as the Sports Sciences Research Institute, as the country’s specialized reference institution in physical education and sports sciences, has earned first place in the 2022–2023 ISC rankings among research institutes in humanities, social sciences, and arts — a distinguished and honorable position reflecting the institute’s strategic role within the national science and technology ecosystem, especially in sports sciences.
Key provisions of this memorandum include:
Establishing a framework for mutual cooperation in utilizing information resources, research capacities, and existing study and specialized opportunities;
Indexing the scientific output and statistics of the institute’s researchers in ISC databases;
Collaborating on joint research projects and supporting the publication and processing of the institute’s books and journals;
Utilizing ISC’s specialized platforms such as “Dana,” “Saramadan,” the “System of Ideas and Needs (NAN),” and the conference registration system;
Cooperating on joint scientific events and creating suitable opportunities for study leaves for faculty members and students;
Sharing resources, scientific databases, and accommodations of both parties according to existing regulations;
Applying modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, data processing, and large-scale computing in providing specialized services.
This memorandum represents an effective step toward strengthening the scientific and research position of the Sports Sciences Research Institute nationally and internationally, paving the way for broader and more impactful future collaborations.
