With the Presence of the Deputy Minister & Head of the Student Affairs Organization: Opening Ceremony of the 2025 Sports Sciences Practical Entrance Exam Held Simultaneously Across 26 National Centers

The 2025 Practical Entrance Exam for the Sports Sciences major (exam-based admissions) officially began this morning, Thursday, August 7, 2025 (16 Mordad 1404), with the male candidates’ tests, attended by more than 20,000 male and female applicants nationwide.

According to the Public Relations Office of the ssrii, the opening ceremony for the male candidates was held at the Faculty of Sports Sciences and Health at the University of Tehran, with the participation of:

Dr. Saeed Habiba, Deputy Minister and Head of the Student Affairs Organization

Dr. Fariba Mohammadi, President 

Dr. Anoushirvan Ola, Director General of Exam Coordination for the National Organization of Educational Testing

Dr. Khoshghalb, Head of the President’s Office and Public Relations at the Student Affairs Organization

Dr. Hamed Abbasi, Research Deputy and Executive Director of the Exam

Dr. Rahman Soori, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences and Health, University of Tehran

The event featured a symbolic traditional sport performance (“Pahlevani and Zoorkhaneh”) and marked the kick-off of the largest national event in the field, executed across 26 exam centers in collaboration with universities across the country. More than 3,000 trained professionals, including academic staff, professors, students, and alumni of Sports Sciences, are participating as examiners and officials.

Additionally, 52 official observers from the Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and the National Education Assessment Organization are stationed full-time in all centers (for both male and female candidates).

About the Exam – “Seven Challenges of Sports Sciences”
The practical exam consists of seven performance-based tests:

Inverted Pull-up Hold – Lying position for 20 seconds

Football and Basketball Dribbling

Sit-ups – 30 seconds

Two-footed Hurdle Jumps

4×9 m Shuttle Run

Medicine Ball Throw

250 m Run (males) / 150 m Run (females)

All candidates undergo physical screening, health evaluation, and medical checks before participating.

Schedule
Men: Thursday, 16 Mordad 1404 (August 7, 2025)

Women: Friday, 17 Mordad 1404 (August 8, 2025), and in Tehran, Mashhad, and Shiraz until Saturday, August 9, 2025 (18 Mordad 1404)

Morning session: 06:00–12:00
Afternoon session: 13:00–16:00
