The National Project “SEPAS” (Health Assessment, Monitoring, and Evaluation System) was implemented by the Sport Sciences Research Institute of Iran at the National Organization for Educational Testing (Sanjesh Organization), aiming to promote active lifestyles, health, and productivity among employees.

This project, conducted by a specialized scientific team, focuses on evaluating physical, physiological, and psychological health indicators to identify risk factors and design customized wellness programs for staff. It represents a key step toward institutionalizing workplace health and wellness culture across Iran.

Dr. Hamed Abbasi, the Institute’s Deputy for Research, explained that leveraging the Institute’s laboratory, technological, and academic resources allows for a data-driven approach to improving organizational vitality and workforce efficiency. He emphasized that Project SEPAS serves as a practical and innovative model for reducing inactivity, stress, and sedentary work-related consequences.

Dr. Abbasi noted that such initiatives can provide effective frameworks for other public and private institutions aspiring to fulfill the motto “Healthy Organization, Empowered Employees.” The Institute has also planned to develop a digital monitoring system and scientific database to support future policy-making and extend the program’s reach to ministries and executive agencies nationwide
