Workshop on "Establishing and Developing Knowledge-Based Companies" Held for University Faculty Members Nationwide

The workshop on "Establishing and Developing Knowledge-Based Companies" was conducted both in-person and virtually at the Sports Sciences Research Institute.

According to the Public Relations office of the Sports Sciences Research Institute, aiming to promote entrepreneurship and support innovative activities in the field of sports, the workshop was held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 (31 Tir 1404), organized by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center under the management of Dr. Mehdi Rasouli, the center’s director.

Faculty members from universities across the country participated in the workshop, discussing topics such as the registration and evaluation processes of knowledge-based companies, products and services eligible for registration, the role of creativity in becoming knowledge-based, and the position of physical education in creative and innovative companies.

The course instructors, Dr. Sohail Jalali (founder of Business Company and CEO of Vira Pajoohan Pouya) and Engineer Mohammad Mehdi Parkhou, shared their specialized knowledge and practical experiences in launching knowledge-based businesses with the participants.

At the end of the workshop, various facilities and supports related to knowledge-based companies—including tax exemptions, insurance benefits, military service exemptions, and other supportive services—were introduced.
