The last opportunity to register for the special awards competition of the 2025 World Congress of Kinesiology and Sport Sciences is approaching. The congress will be held from October 17 to 19, 2025 (3 to 5 Aban 1404), at the International Convention Center on Jeju Island, South Korea.

According to the Public Relations office of the Institute of Sport Sciences and Physical Education, the final deadline to submit applications and register for all award categories is August 30, 2025 (9 Mordad 1404).

This prestigious international congress provides an excellent platform to showcase Iran’s scientific and research capabilities globally. Researchers, professors, students, and active members of the sports sciences community are invited to participate and submit their works in different award categories.

The main award categories and eligibility criteria are as follows:

SSI WCKSS Excellence in Sports Science Award

Target group: Master's and PhD students in Kinesiology, Sport Sciences, Sport Nutrition, or related fields.

Benefits:

€2,000 travel grant to attend ECSS 2026 in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Award of an official GSSI trophy.

MPA Award (Derived from Master's thesis)

Eligibility: Researchers who have obtained a master's degree within the last 2 years and 6 months.
