Emphasis on the Key Role of the Institute of Sport Sciences in Developing Technological Sports Institute of Sport Sciences, Responsible for Innovation and Technology in the First National Olympiad of Technological Sports

Dr. Fariba Mohammadi, Acting Head of the Institute of Sport Sciences and Physical Education, highlighted the institute's responsibility for innovation and technology at the first National Olympiad of Technological Sports in the country and emphasized the active role of students in advancing modern sports technologies.

According to the Public Relations office, at the unveiling ceremony of the poster, trophy, and official website of the first National Olympiad of Technological Sports held at Amirkabir University of Technology, Dr. Mohammadi stated:
“This Olympiad is being held for the first time in Iran, centered on four main axes: Digital, Phygital, Robotics, and Innovation & Technology in Sports. The Institute of Sport Sciences is honored to lead the innovation and technology section of this national event.”

She explained the axes of this section:
“In this section, diverse topics including advanced sports equipment, innovative broadcasting platforms, applications of artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, as well as creative ideas and products presented through sports startups will be covered—topics that can bring significant transformation in the development of student sports.”

Stressing the indispensable role of youth in this field, she noted:
“We believe that students are the primary drivers of modern movements in sports; the future-makers who can revolutionize the development path of sports in our country.”

Dr. Mohammadi further announced that the Institute is fully prepared to receive innovative ideas, plans, and products from students and stated:
“The process of judging and evaluating this section will be conducted under the scientific management and expertise of the institute’s faculty members and collaborating experts.”

The ceremony coincided with the signing of a cooperation memorandum between the Student Affairs Organization and Amirkabir University of Technology. Prominent figures attending included Dr. Habiba, Deputy Minister of Science and Head of the Student Affairs Organization; Dr. Soroush, President of Amirkabir University; Dr. Daneshian, Deputy of Domestic Student Affairs; Dr. Mehdi Rasouli, Head of the Innovation Center at the Institute; Dr. Zarei, Director General of Physical Education at the Student Affairs Organization; Dr. Daneshvar, Director General of Domestic Student Affairs; along with senior managers from both the Student Affairs Organization and Amirkabir University.
