Receipt of 135 ideas and technological products in the first "From Idea to Business in Sport" event

Dr. Mohammad Shariat-Zadeh, Secretary-General of the "From Idea to Business in Sport" event, announced the registration of 135 ideas and technological products in the first edition of this event and the holding of five specialized panels for their presentation and evaluation.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Institute of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, Dr. Shariat-Zadeh, speaking at a press conference and referring to extensive publicity since early August of the current year, explained: "The event's call for submissions was sent to science and technology parks, incubators, universities, and faculties of engineering and technology across the country so that interested parties could submit their products and ideas to the event secretariat. In total, 135 products and ideas were received and underwent the initial review stages."

He added: "On the day of the event, Saturday, February 17 (28 Bahman), the selected ideas and products will be reviewed in five specialized panels. Three panels are dedicated to technological products — including prototypes and products that have entered the commercialization cycle and are currently in use in various sports fields — and two panels are dedicated to ideas. After evaluation and if they meet the conditions, these ideas will be supported by federations or investors to go through the process of turning ideas into products and commercialization."

The Secretary-General of the event, referring to the accompanying exhibition, said: "About 40 knowledge‑based companies, technology cores, and active startups in the field of sports will be present at the exhibition of technological products held on the sidelines of the event. Interested investors will also have the opportunity to talk with technology teams in this space so that qualified ideas and products can enter the commercialization and investment stages."

He concluded by noting: "Some of the ideas and products that cannot be presented in the panels due to time constraints will be presented as electronic posters, and at the closing ceremony of the event, the top ideas and products, top booths, top posters, and successful accelerators will be officially honored."
