Head of Institute of Physical Education: Faculty Members Are at the Forefront of Solving the Country's Major Issues

According to a statement from the Public Relations Office of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, during this meeting, Dr. Fariba Mohammadi, President of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, while honoring the memory of the country's proud martyrs — especially the martyred professor Dr. Morteza Motahhari — congratulated faculty members and colleagues of the Institute on Teacher's Day and Professor's Day.

Referring to the intellectual and personal dimensions of Martyr Motahhari, she described him as a symbol of the connection between thought, commitment, and social responsibility within the country's scientific system, stating: "Martyr Motahhari, in the words of the Supreme Leader, was a concerned and influential figure who always played a role in promoting correct thinking, raising public awareness, and engaging in soft warfare."

The President of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, emphasizing that Martyr Motahhari did not separate knowledge from the context of society, added: "An idea gains authenticity and effectiveness when it can respond to the real problems of people and society. Therefore, the most important mission of faculty members is to transform knowledge into problem-solving capacity and to provide scientific and practical solutions to meet the country's needs."

Dr. Mohammadi, referring to the country's current conditions, noted: "Today, more than ever, faculty members are expected to play a role in identifying, analyzing, and providing solutions for the country's major issues with a problem-oriented and active approach. This is because faculty members are at the forefront of solving the country's major issues and, by utilizing their specialized knowledge, can contribute to scientific policy-making and national decision-making."

She also announced the readiness of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences to cooperate effectively with the Secretariat for the Management of Solving the Country's Major Issues (MOKHAM) and emphasized the necessity of synergizing the country's scientific capacities in this direction.

Later in the meeting, faculty members of the Institute presented their perspectives, suggestions, and solutions regarding national priorities, key issues in the field of sports, and the scientific role-playing of the Institute. It was also agreed that after being summarized, the raised issues would be categorized into short-term, medium-term, and long-term programs and reflected to the relevant secretariat.

At the end of the meeting, faculty members of the Institute were honored with bouquets of flowers in appreciation of their scientific and research efforts and services.
