Specialized Symposium on 'Football Leadership in Crisis' to Be Held
The Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, in collaboration with the Research Center of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Majlis), is organizing a specialized symposium on 'Football Leadership in Crisis.' The event aims to examine strategies and present proposed scenarios for continuing Premier League football competitions, as well as to clarify considerations related to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Specialized Symposium on 'Football Leadership in Crisis' to Be Held
According to a statement from the Public Relations Office of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, this specialized symposium will be held on Tuesday, May 4 (14 Ordibehesht 1405), from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, with the presence of a group of managers, experts, and opinion leaders in the field of football and sports in the country.
The purpose of holding this symposium is to examine the current situation of football in the country, analyze possible scenarios in confronting the current situation, and provide executive and policy solutions for crisis management.
During this symposium, a group of prominent figures in football management, law, and research will present their perspectives and specialized analyses. The main themes of the symposium include examining proposed scenarios for continuing the Premier League, the consequences of managerial decisions on clubs, the legal dimensions of contracts, international requirements, and the impact of these decisions on Iran's football preparation path for the 2026 World Cup.
Speakers at this symposium include: Hooshang Nasirzadeh, former CEO of Tractor and Foolad Khuzestan clubs and legal advisor in football; Dr. Hamidreza Asefi, former spokesperson and deputy minister of foreign affairs; Mohammad Espandiarpour, CEO of Gol Gohar Club and member of the board of directors of the Football Federation; Dr. Sadegh Raeisi Kia, former CEO of Rah Ahan Club and sports law specialist; Seyyed Mohammad Rasool Bakhtar, attorney-at-law and sports law specialist; Dr. Mohammad Hossein Ghorbani, associate professor at the Institute of Sports Sciences and member of the Sports Working Group of the Parliament's Research Center; Dr. Mohammad Taghi Amiri Khorasani, Deputy for Technology at the Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and former CEO of Mes Kerman Club; and Dr. Alireza Elahi, professor at Kharazmi University and head of the Strategic Committee of the Football Federation.
